About Craftworx

If you would like to hear all about how Tracey got started in silver clay jewellery making & the origins of Craftworx Jewellery Workshops, please feel free to listen to this interview with Jessica Rose, first broadcast in February 2021

Craftworx Jewellery Workshops is a dedicated Metal Clay Jewellery School located in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
We teach to professional standards in an informal atmosphere. We aim to give students the skills, techniques and confidence to achieve successful results in jewellery making using the amazing medium of precious metal clay.
Precious Metal Clay comes in various forms such as Bronze Clay, Copper Clay, White Bronze Clay, Steel Clay and Gold Clay but by far the most popular is Silver Clay.
Our workshops range from the basic Introduction to Silver Clay through to more intermediate and advanced subjects including ring making, baby prints, hinged boxes, linked in chains, silver clay for beaders, Bronze Clay, raden and resin, enamelling and moulding. We also offer both of the accredited Art Clay World UK (ACWUK) Level 1 and 2 Diploma courses.

PLEASE NOTE, WE RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT STAY AT MINSTER GARTH GUESTHOUSE
Craftworx Jewellery Workshops is one of a cohort of artists' studios situated in superbly renovated barns on a working farm, set just outside the picturesque village of Bishop Burton in East Yorkshire on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. This remote location is easy to access with motorway, train, sea and air transport routes close by. Our students travel from all over the country and abroad, often to stay longer to enjoy the surrounding area.
The renovated barn conversion is light and spacious, providing a practical and very well equipped facility with all the essential tools and equipment for your use.
As the only dedicated Metal Clay studio in the north of England, Craftworx provides the perfect environment for you to gain knowledge and confidence in working in metal clay. The studio offers a climate controlled environment for your comfort.
The studios offer full wheelchair access and facilities. A fridge is also available for you to store lunch or medication. There is plenty of car parking space available.
Each course has restrictions on the number of people that can attend in order to create an intimate atmosphere and ensure each student has one-to-one time with our expert tutor, Tracey Spurgin.
As a teaching facility, the studio has limited opening times. If you would like to visit, please contact us to make an appointment.
A warm welcome awaits you. You will feel relaxed and will enjoy your time learning the skills and techniques in working with metal clay.
