Craftworx is a dedicated Metal Clay Teaching Studio located in East Yorkshire.
We teach to professional standards in an informal atmosphere. We aim to give
students the skills, techniques and confidence to achieve successful results in
jewellery making using this amazing material of precious metal clay.
Metal Clay comes in various forms such as Bronze Clay, Copper Clay,
White Bronze Clay, Steel Clay and Gold Clay but by far the most
popular is Silver Clay.
Our tutor, Tracey Spurgin, is a qualified Senior Art Clay
Instructor who has trained to the highest level with some of the
world's leading metal clay artists and instructors. With more than
10 years' teaching experience, Tracey has the skills to deliver a
broad range of courses and workshops.
Our workshops range from the basic
Introduction to Silver Clay through to more intermediate and
advanced subjects including ring making, baby prints, hinged boxes,
linked in chains, silver clay for beaders, Bronze Clay, raden and
resin, enamelling and moulding.
We also offer both
of the accredited Art Clay World UK (ACWUK) Level 1 and 2
certification courses.
As well as teaching in our
own Craftworx Studio, Tracey Spurgin travels extensively around UK
to deliver courses and workshops in galleries, shops, colleges and
museums. We also exhibit regularly at all the major jewellery and
beaders events.
