The Craftworx studio is located amongst a clutch of other artists' studios in superbly renovated barns on a working farm, set just outside the picturesque village of Bishop Burton in East Yorkshire on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. This remote location is easy to access with motorway, train, sea and air transport routes close by. Our students travel from all over the country and abroad, often to stay longer to enjoy the surrounding area.

The renovated barn conversion is light and spacious, providing a practical and very well equipped facility with all the essential tools and equipment for your use.

As the only dedicated Metal Clay studio in the north of England, Craftworx provides the perfect environment for you to gain knowledge and confidence in working in metal clay. The studio offers a climate controlled environment for your comfort.

The studios offer full wheelchair access and facilities. A fridge is also available for you to store lunch or medication.

Each course has restrictions on the number of people that can attend in order to create an intimate atmosphere and ensure each student has one-to-one time with our expert tutor, Tracey Spurgin.

Tracey has 12 years teaching experience and is qualified to the highest standards in metal clay, having trained in Japan, USA, UK.

A warm welcome awaits you. You will feel relaxed and will enjoy your time learning the skills and techniques in working with metal clay.
